About

Hey there! I’m Hannah—a writer, editor, and Artist in the Sacramento area.

If you need feedback on your poetry collection, detailed edits to your fantasy manuscript, or a one-on-one coach in your corner, I’m your editor! If you’re having a party in the Sacramento area, let’s talk decor and entertainment.

I have a Bachelor of Arts in earth science from Sacramento State: a degree that uniquely contributes to my writing and editorial styles. Using specific concise language and staying true to nature and its natural laws—even when working with and writing fantasy manuscripts—are two of my hallmarks. Our world is rich and magical in its own rights and I think it deserves to be highlighted. But as an editor, maintaining your voice is my number one priority!

I am a firm believer that every story has been told once before and the reason we are retelling stories is because of the individual voices. Your story is unique because of your perspective, even if it is a fairytale retelling. Even more so as discrimination is rampant for minority communities; queer voices, gender-nonconfirming voices, voices from people of color, every voice deserves to be heard. I want to work to make your unique perspective shine.

I have served on the editorial staff of literary magazines ranging from fiction and poetry editors all the way to Editor-in-Chief. I’ve spent my time in the slush stacks of publishing houses and time spent one-on-one with writers and editors.

Between balancing my growing family and focusing on bettering my health, I’m chipping away on a Master of Fine Arts in creative writing focused on poetry, at Ashland University’s low-residency programs. I also earned a literary publishing certificate from American River College; I’m sure it will be awarded if I ever complete the paperwork.

My personal writing ranges. I have poetry appearing  in multiple literary magazines and anthologies. I’m working on a chapbook disseminating what it means to be in an AFAB body and everything we inherit when we grow into queer women in a world that isn’t always accepting. I’m also refining a fantasy manuscript I can’t seem to leave into the past and expanding my skills by experimenting with literary fiction.

Most importantly, I want to surround myself with writers who want to shine.
